🎵 Nouvelle vidéo — “Your Songs, My Anchor”
🎵 Nouvelle vidéo — “Your Songs, My Anchor”
Paroles
Your Songs, My Anchor
There’s something broken in your songs
As strange as it seems, it just keeps me from breaking
There’s something deep
That somehow keeps me afloat
Keeps me from drowning
There’s something bitter, that is so full of light
Like a constant effort, just like an endless fight
A tiredness, like a sigh on the embers
That’s strong enough to hold on to the flame
And I hold on just the same
Some of your songs, they are monsters
The Kraken of our nightmares
Some of your songs they’re heavy
As a stone, but still you’re singing
And you keep us from sinking
I who sail the world I need a shelter
I tie up to your songs, your songs : my anchor.
Traduction

CD et LIVRES DÉDICACÉS POUR NOËL !

SOL BRILHANTE
(english version below)

“First poem written in Portuguese while for the first time in years Lady Flow steers her bow Southward. A tribute to what we’ve been missing so much, up there in the North: the sun. But «Sol Brilhante» also tells us about other suns: those people whom you are lucky enough to cross your path and whose very existence warms you. Solar, they dazzle you to the point that you cannot even see them go away. Their light lingers on your retina, their warmth hugs your heart long after they’re gone.“

“Hello Saudade” available now, everywhere !
Hello Saudade» is now available on all your streaming platforms !
Pianocean’s new album, written, composed and recorded in the Azores :
“In “Hello Saudade”, there is this “Hello” that sounds like a smile, a hug, a ray, a renewal… this lightness of the journey that the Azores brought us after so many Miles to fight against the northern winds. And then there is «Saudade», the untranslatable, «this dream place, this place sheltered from the world, this past-present that the Portuguese soul does not want to leave». I tried, through these eight songs, to depict this «happiness out of the world». Each song on this album is an island-saudade, together they form the archipelago. The archipelago of the Saudade. An archipelago made of wide open sea, burning laughter, twelve-string instruments, Fado tunes, coastal paths and moonlight… and all of this performed by a «piano do mar», a viola da Terra, musicians met from islands to islands, and a long-time musician fellow friend.”

MARAVILHA !
🇬🇧OBLIGADA MARAVILHA – THANK YOU MARAVILHA !
The Maravilha Festival transformed the quays of Horta into a completely crazy world where you could hear mermaids singing opera or dancing to disco, following a crazy one-man street band, marveling at jugglers and circus performers, dance samba, drink good wine or even listen to a pianist playing from the deck of her sailboat. Thank you Maravilha, thank you for the magic!
🇫🇷OBLIGADA MARAVILHA – MERCI MARAVILHA !

Open sea / Crossing Galicia-Azores (EN)
🇬🇧20th May – Vila Franca do Campo – Sao Miguel – Azores (from the logbook)
The offshore trip…

There is the idea that you have of it, what you plan to do… and what you really do.
I had planned to do a watercolor painting of the sea every day. Well, finally I made 3 scribbles with a bic pen in my notebook.

I had planned 4 or 5 good books to read during my shifts. I only read one, fortunately it was magnificent. (Ultramarines – by Mariette Navarro)

We had planned to have some good little dishes prepared by Titine for the crossing. I ate white rice and noodles for breakfast.
I had planned to work on my Portuguese fado songs. Finally “la maman des poissons” with my son on the deck was enough.
I thought I would learn the names of the constellations but I stared at the weather vane the whole time.
It’s that there was wind, some wind, and sea, good tight swell, high and short. The crossing was exhausting but Lady Flow showed us that she was made for it. Our friend Seb (Sébastien Roubinet) who offered to route us, had warned us: “the slot is good, it will be steep at the start, uncomfortable throughout, but you won’t find a better window in this season.” And he was right. The swell didn’t let us down, but neither did the wind and the Lady flew by at an average of 6-7kts. Galicia-Azores in 6 days!

So here we are on the archipelago for a few days of rest before tuning the piano and starting the tour!
